SIA Convention 2013 will be held in Washington D.C. to bring awareness and to give each survivor a voice. We stand together – “United as One Voice” Come and let your voice be heard.
Please register and attend the SIA Convention, April 4-7, 2013 at the Raddison Inn (Salon 1) in Crystal City, Virginia and join us as we March On Washington – making our voices heard on the West Lawn of the US Capitol building.

WALK ON WASHINGTON D.C. - SIA Convention 2013 offers attendees the unique opportunity to bring their voices throughout the streets of Washington D.C. - all the way to the steps of the U.S. Capitol Building!
We will be marching through the streets of D.C., for a little over a mile and will be hosting a high-profile event on the West Lawn of the Capitol. Full details will be made available in March of 2013.
Survivors of Institutional Abuse (SIA) is a nonprofit organization bringing awareness to Institutional child abuse. This abuse can occur in Private/Government institutions, as well as detention centers, or foster care.
SIA Organization is dedicated to work towards regulation and protection of the children. We seek to empower and aid in the healing of adults who have been subject to these types of abuses whether it be physical, sexual, or emotional.
Nick Gaglia directed his first feature, Over The GW, based on a true story of an abusive, cult-like, drug-rehabilitation center. In 2009, Nick released the narrative film Aaron Bacon, inspired by the book Help At Any Cost by Maia Sxalavitz.
Nick's activism work includes speaking on the topic of treatment abuse of adolescents, including Capitol Hill, NYU, Fox News, Real Talk, WOR Radio, Cal Stage and the Dr. Phil Show.
